小蝌蚪找妈妈(睡前故事,中英双语)
仔细听,你能听到池塘蛙声一片吗? Little Tadpoles Looking for their Mother The winter ice has melted away, to welcome in a bright spring day. The willows wake in robes of green, the loveliest sight that's ever been. Deep in the mud, mother frog awoke, and shed her heavy winter cloak. With a giant stretch and a sleepy yawn, Plop! She dived into the chilly pond. Among the reeds and the silky grass, she laid her eggs as the moments pass. A thousand pearls, so round and black, with tiny lives upon their track. The breezes sang and the sun shone bright, The water warmed in the morning light . Inside the shells, a magical sight — The tiny eggs began to ignite . They wiggled soft, then wiggled wide, With little hearts that beat inside. Then out they popped—a tiny crew, with big round heads and tails so new. They swam and played the whole day through, In a home of fresh and deep-sea blue. Until one day, with a happy quack, Mother Duck came paddling back. Her ducklings followed in a row, wherever Mother Duck would go. The tadpoles watched the family steer, and cried, "Our mom must be quite near!" They asked each other, "Do you know?" But shook their tails and sighed "Oh, no." They swam to Duck and asked with pride, "Is our dear mother by your side?" The Duckling Mother smiled wide, "I've seen her once," she then replied. “She has big eyes and a mouth so wide —Swim ahead and find her on the other side!” "Thank you, Mother Duck!" the babies cried, and off they swam with tails out wide. Then a Golden Fish with scales of bright, came shimmering through the morning light. "She has big eyes! Her mouth is wide! She must be Mother!" the tadpoles cried. But Goldfish laughed so tenderly, "I'm not your mom, as you can see. My babies all have scales of gold, Your mother's belly is white, I'm told. Go on, my dears, and have no fear, Your mother's waiting very near." They wiggled on and hummed a song, swimming where the already grew long. They met a turtle, old and slow, who asked them, "Where do you go?" "Dear Turtle, help! We've searched the blue, but Mother's nowhere in our view!" The Turtle chuckled, "Don't fear, Your mother's voice is what you hear." "She has four legs and skin of green, the softest belly ever seen!" The tadpoles gasped, their eyes grew wide, "She's close! She's on the other side!" They swam through water crystal clear, Until they heard a sound quite near. A frog sat singing, "Croak, croak, croak!" Upon a lily pad she softly spoke. "Mother! Mother! It is you! Our long and weary search is through!" Mother Frog smiled, her eyes so bright, "My little ones, what a lovely sight! You've grown so brave, you've swum so far, To find exactly where you are." She hugged them close in the summer air, And all was well, for love was there. The pond was warm, the sky was blue, And every tadpole felt and knew: No matter where you swim or roam, A mother's love will lead you home.
